My blog experience

Personally, I’ve enjoyed the blog experience. I think the blog is a very interesting form to learn English, it’s very fun.  I like each time I had to think and write in the blog. The topics was very good, they encouraged me to know myself a little more. Well, topics like my favorite movie or my favorite photograph are which more I liked. The truth is that I never had time to write about me, but although this was the first time I must say that was amazing.

About my writing skills, I think I’ve improved a lot. Early this year I can’t write more than eight lines without getting bored, but now I can write a letter without any problem and not just a letter…  I could write anything!

In the future, we could practice with the blog, but talking about them. For example: making presentations in some blog during class, I don’t know.

There are many topics which I would write. I would like to write about my favorite book; I think it would be fun. Also, I would write about places I want to travel, for example all around Chile and some place of Europe. Finally, I would write about my hobbies, especially to play the Piano, with this I’ll be happy.

The blog was an incredible idea, I really enjoyed doing it.

English Bn Ready!!!

If I had to choose I think it would be during the course of blogging. Besides learning to express myself with words, really amused me much making each blog. To summarize, during the first half wrote about various topics in a blog evaluated by the English course, except during student mobilization.

I think it was a good way to encourage learning, talking about things happening in our daily life and having freedom to express myself, so I think that helped me a lot.

Although I liked the blog activity, I also believe that I set aside to practice speaking English, the student mobilization obviously greatly influenced this, but I think I should have taken the time to talk too. Well, after all I liked the idea of ​​writing a blog in English. 

Was fun.

The photographic exhibition!!

Approximately one year ago, in August of 2012, I went to an exhibition of photography, unfortunately forget the name of the photographer, was an unexpected event which friends force me to attend, but I do not regret having gone. The exhibition was held at the Cultural Center Gabriela Mistral, known as GAM.

What amazed me this evente, and razom why I remember him, is a pair of photographs taken of landscapes south of Chile. Maybe the photos of landscapes are common these days, but honestly I do not remember so badly wanted to travel as quize after seeing those pictures.

Actually, I dont have traveled a lot in my lifetime, but it has become a goal for me, first I will travel to southern Chile, as far as you can, so to see landscapes as beautiful as the ones I saw in those photos.

Also, and not least, after seeing the photographic exhibition, I like the idea of ​​recording presiados times we live alone, with family, friends, whatever! Someday when I'm old, I'll look the pictures and laugh with each.

The Dreams!

For me it is difficult to define exactly what are dreams, but I think more than prophecies are the result of what happens in everyday life and the imagination of each. Not always dreamed things consistent, so I think there must be some imagination, I don't know.

Psychoanalysts mainly have dreams in a special place in his theories, although personally I do not adhere to them. I believe that dreams can help patients, but not exactly like psychoanalysis interprets.

It is said that you can not sleep without dreaming, but I can not remember what I dream a lot. sometimes remember nightmares and any other dreams that are more emotionally impactful. About say my dreams to the other, well, I never do.

Perhaps, like dreams sometimes seem distant or too good to be true, they were given another meaning. They are like our goals. I like that.

A life without dreams would be very boring, for me everyone should have those ambitions called dreams. As people say, it costs nothing to dream.

Subjects...

Throughout elementary school, I remember my favorite subject was language. I liked the stories, the books above, although during the school books were not as complicated as college. Now, in the college, that easy subjects don't exist, but there are still interesting subjects.

This year's subject I like is psychopathology, in this class, we learn different kinds of psychological diseases exist, how to treat them, their causes and also their own experiences that teachers have had with different people sick. Most amazing are the anecdotes that teachers tell us about the different encounters they have had with psychological illnesses. People with depression who only want to kill themselves, people whose senses distort reality around him and many other incredible cases.

Not that I like the disease itself, but I like to know about them. I still believe that illness is a very interesting topic, what are its causes and cure, there are still many questions, but maybe that uncertainty encourages me much more to learn about them.

A photograph I like...

The truth is that I never stopped to think what my favorite picture, but if I had to pick a photo would be one that was taken in the college along with my friends. This photo shows my best friends, which I met in college. We met when we would arrive all at our first year of Psychology. although it happened only a year and some months, is quite nostalgic as I started to remember all.

Well, this photo was taken by a friend of Frances, her friend was walking with us when we came take a picture together, so we decided to ask her to take a picture.

I like this photo, you never know if a person will become important to you some day, they did it. When you arrive in a city you do not know completely alone, friends are essential to move forward.

Video Games!

Video Games! I love them. If I had to choose my favorite game I think would be The Legend Of Zelda, this is a game about the adventures of Link, a young man who has a duty to save Hyrule and elsewhere from time to time. I like the games about adventures, but that is my favourite.

A good story is what most makes me want to play a video game, is for this reason that I liked Zelda since childhood. Nintendo is the company that gave birth to Zelda and many other action games, adventure, sports, and endless of others genres.

Currently I have put aside the game, mainly due to the responsibilities of a young college, but in my childhood, I must say I spend too much time playing them. Playing with friends is the best, because sometimes it's boring to play alone.

Well, finally leave a picture with my favorite game of all life: The Legend Of Zelda.

My favourite piece of technology...

Well, my favourite piece of technology is, clearly, the computer. For college work, to communicate with my family, to play videogames, to watch videos and listen to music; these are the things I do most of the time I use a computer.

The computer is an electronic machine that can be used for many things, as it is designed to receive orders and information of the owner to make them and store them respectively.

The things I wrote above are the most I usually do on my computer. Generally I use it every day, but the time I spend on it varies according to my responsibilities.

What I like about computers is that I can save time by using it. Without the computers would have to spend more time to get useful information, for example would have to go to libraries or also have to spend more money to communicate with friends and family by phone.

Thank goodness for computers!! 

My favorite movie...

There are many movies I like, but if I have to choose I think I'll prefer "Spirit stallion of the Cimarron". This animation movie was producted for Dreamswork Animation SKG in 2002 and was directed for Kelly Asbury and Lorna Cook. The film is starred for a thoroughbred, Spirit, who is leader of his herd of horses. The Spirit's voice was recorded by Arturo Mercado Jr.

The movie has received many awards. Most important awards are:

I like this movie because the story is about how Spirit, the horse, fight for get freedom that had been taken by humans. Although he had many difficulties, he decided never surrender and comply, in this way, his dream. Also, I like very much soundtracks of the movie, originally the OST was interpreted by Bryan Adams in the English version, but the Latin version is very good as well. The OST is amazing. The movie is amazing. This movie represents the idea that should never lose the will to go on, whatever happens, never give up.

A website about psychology...

Nowadays, thanks to the internet, we can find many websites to learn about psychology, but personally, my favorite website is www.apa.org, this website has all kinds of topics that are related with the present, for example:  bullying, autism, violence, etc. Also the website contains sections of news and events about the world.

I like the section dedicated to students, because it can to help with evaluation of the university. Also the website has sections dedicated to employers, librarians, members, authors & reviewers, early career psychologists and, of course, students.

Personally I visit this website once a day to be informed with news investigation and others thing about my career.

The acronym A.P.A means American Psychological Association. This is a very important organization to Psychology. That is the main reason why I like this website. For example, I can learn about how to do quotations in APA format or psychotherapy to different mental diseases like schizophrenia.

       

My favorite band...

The band that I like is “Maná”. This is a Mexican band and was created in 1975 although in that year they called “Green Hat”. Some years later they change their name to Maná.

Maná play rock music, more specifically Latin-rock. I like rock music, but I always wanted a rock band to sing in Spanish, Maná was the first band I listen to sing in Spanish for that reason I like them. Also this band is not like other rock band where the musicians abused of the electric guitar, they’ve known combine all types of musical instruments, from folkloric instrument to electric guitar and bass. I could listen to their music all the day

My favorite song is “Cuando los ángeles lloran” in the unplugged version. I like so much the lyrics and the harmony of this song, that song have some special for me.  Of course, many others songs are very good, for example: “No ha parado de llover” or “Bendita la Luz”, but my favorite is about the angels.

A little of my...

Hi, my name is Yan Lazcano Brito.

In this time I'll write about my life in general. I was born on May 24, 1994 in San Felipe, this city is very small, but the people are friendly. My father's name is Jorge and my mother's name is Fanny. They married very young, about 20 years old.

When I was a child I went to Bernado O'Higgins's School, after that I went to Guillermo Richards's School, also, at the same time I went to Da Vinci's Pre-university. Now I'm Student of Psychology of Universidad de Chile and I like it so much.

I like the arts in general, so that I like playing musical instrument, for example: the piano or the guitar. I love the piano. Also I like to write and draw.
